- Three national studies on carers, commissioned by the NHS (SDO) R&D programme (with the Social Policy Research Unit at the University of York)
- A two-year research project for the Department of Health into the organisation development and human resources challenges facing PCTs (with the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York)
- The evaluation of a new self-management course for carers (Expert Patients Programme)
- A range of projects with PCTs and GP practices to evaluate the quality and appropriateness of primary care services
- Evaluations of local Sure Start programmes and activities including speech and language services, interventions for mothers with postnatal depression, home care services and hospital discharge experiences
- An evaluation of the Dental Health Education service for Newington with Gipsyville and Longhill and Bilton Grange Sure Starts in Hull. Both quantitative and qualitative data were gathered to assess the effectiveness of the service, the extent to which the Dental Health Educator contributes to the Sure Start targets and the feasibility of extending the scheme across the whole of Hull.
