Sure Start Evaluations
From 2003 to 2008
Sure Start programmes which we have supported include Scarborough, Bridlington South, Hemlington and Newham (Middlesbrough), Mexborough (Doncaster), Sure Start South Westminster (London) and Myton St Andrews, Longhill and Bilton Grange, Newington with Gipsyville and Marfleet (all Hull).
Acton Shapiro has worked with a number of local Sure Start Programmes over the past few years and has built up substantial experience and expertise in a range of areas relating to evaluation. These include:
- Planning evaluations
- Developing evaluation skills within the team
- Training for parent evaluators
- Baseline and follow-up user satisfaction surveys
- Service evaluations
- Process (thematic) evaluations
- Assessing value for money
- Continuing support for managers and staff
on projects such as:
- a second follow-up parent satisfaction survey for Mexborough Sure Start Children’s Centre
- an evaluation of the Dental Health Education Service for two Hull Sure Starts
- an evaluation of partnership working for Sure Start South Westminster.
